    Samadreeta Chanda is a Delhi based kathak dance performer who acquired her training from Moumala Nayak & further intensive training under SNA awardee LATE GURU MUNNA LAL SHUKLA. She has received scholarship from Sahitya Kala Parishad, Govt of Delhi in 2015. She was also felicitated with the “Bhawna Award” twice from Bhawna Kala Mandir, Delhi in 2009 & 2010 for her exquisite talent and Ramparan Music award from Sri Ramparan Music Arts and Foundation, Delhi in 2018 or excellency in Kathak. She has travelled widely Nationally and internationally,viz, FRANCE,ITALY,MOROCCO, OMAN,CHINA,ISRAEL, UGANDA,ETHIOPIA and has performed various solos,duets and group performances in various festivals organised by ICCR & MINISTRY OF CULTURE, Govt of India. Apart from Kathak, Samadreeta holds a triple graduate degree in Fashion Designing ,Eng Hons and also hindustani classical vocal and a double MA in kathak & Eng . samadreeta is presently working as a professional kathak dance performer and a Choreographer who has commenced solo productions like - DEVI AAVAHANA, Shiva- The journey to reality , BASANTA-The Beginning , and is exploring herself in the choreographic feild of dance and dance theatre.She has choreographed group productions like -JAYA HEY For Sahitya Kala Parishad ,Govt of Delhi in a school. Apart from freelance performances , She is also a senior repertory artist at NRITYAKSHAR FOUNDATION-a delhi based performing arts unit. She is The artistic director of her dance institute-NRITYAYAN DANCE FOUNDATION.
